💉 What Is NeuroBloc 5000 Units?

• Botulinum toxin type B, 5,000 U per ml (or 2,500 U in 0.5 ml)

• Excipients: disodium succinate, sodium chloride, human albumin, and water for injection

No reconstitution is needed, simplifying administration and reducing preparation steps.

🏥 Indications & Dosing

NeuroBloc 5,000 U/ml is indicated for adult cervical dystonia. Standard dosing guidelines recommend:

• Initial dose: 5,000–10,000 U, typically split across 2–4 affected neck muscles

• Clinical experience suggests 5,000 U can be sufficient, though 10,000 U may improve results

• Repeat injections are usually every 12 weeks, with some patients maintaining benefit up to 16 weeks

🧪 Administration & Safety

Usage:

• Administered intramuscularly with a fine-gauge needle into targeted muscles  After warming to room temperature (<25 °C for up to 3 months), it cannot be chilled again
